It’s been a busy couple of weeks here at Quinn & Associates with the team getting out and about to some excellent events.
It was wonderful to attend the Hope Silver Gala Ball at the InterContinental Dublin. The Hope Foundation is dedicated to promoting the protection of street-dwelling and slum-connected children in Kolkata, some of the most underprivileged in India, as well as their families and communities. HOPE works to effect immediate and lasting change in their lives. What an honour it was to be a part of the celebration and thanks to Ciara O'Callaghan Crehan of Odyssey Consultants for the invite.
What a pleasure it was to join 60 women in Café en Seine at the recent Davy “Women who Inspire” series lunch event. Great to hear from Karena O’Sullivan, Davy Interim CEO and first woman to hold the role. The panel discussion, which followed lunch, was super and thanks to Ciara O’Mongain, Lorna Conn CDir of Cpl, Dr Helen McBreen of Atlantic Bridge and Edel Coen of Molten Ventures for sharing their insights on business. Thanks to the Employment & Recruitment Federation for organising a very informative online Breakfast Briefing entitled “Recruitment Remix” where Louise Dennison O’Shaughnessy shared lots of invaluable advice on how best to navigate tricky discussions. During the session Emma Anglim and Maire Griffith also shared some expert insights on DE&I in the recruitment process.
It was great to meet and connect with some fellow businesses and entrepreneurs at the Dublin Chamber Business Network September Event. Thank you to Lorraine Bowen of the Entrepreneurs Academy for chairing the event, and to Darrell Kavanagh, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Image Now for sharing his insights on the power of branding.
Thank you to Mary Brassil, Partner and Head of Employment Group with McCann FitzGerald, and Fadi BouKaram, Director of Tax Technology and Transformation with Grant Thornton, for an insightful and timely webinar on the “EU Pay Transparency Directive and updates to Gender Pay Gap Reporting”. It’s great to see things progressing and developments with mandatory gender pay gap reporting in Ireland now in its third year.
